This April, we have talks on the chemical composition of stars, interstellar objects, and dark matter! Prof. Chris Sneden will talk about the production of elements in stars; Dr. Judit Ries will tell us about the interesting case of interstellar object 'Oumuamua; and finally, one of our AoTATX MC's, AstroBoz (Dr. Brandon Bozek) will discuss how numerical simulations of the Milky Way and our neighboring galaxies can be used to probe the nature of dark matter.
#AoTATX43 will be hosted by our Host Binary Stars, A$AP Rocky Planet (Raquel Martinez) and AstroBoz (Brandon Bozek). In addition, #AoTATX43 will feature Astronomy in the News, trivia, and AoTATX merch. Finally, we will have telescopes on hand to look for exciting objects in the night sky (weather permitting). Join us for a night full of astronomy fun over pints of beer!
As always, AoTATX is FREE and open to all ages! The North Door bar opens at 6pm. The show starts at 7:30pm. Find us on Facebook (Astronomy on Tap ATX) and Twitter (@AoTATX).
