Mindfulness-Based Living Course
A free 8-week training for people suffering with anxiety, depression, and / or chronic illness.
Mindfulness is a natural human capacity to be present and aware in a non-judgmental way. It gives us a key to greater choice in life, offering us freedom from habitual reactivity. Mindfulness allows us to ride the inevitable ups and downs of living, and to more fully appreciate our lives.
There is growing research evidence that training in mindfulness can enhance well-being and resilience. It has been shown that mindfulness can help with recovery from depression and anxiety, and to coping with the challenges of stress and living with a chronic illness.
Local mindfulness teacher, Gareth Williams has secured funding from the Everyone Project to deliver an 8-week Mindfulness-Based Living Course at The Old Saw Mill. The course is free of charge to anyone whose life is made difficult by anxiety, worry, depression, or chronic pain or illness.
The Everyone Project, affiliated with The Mindfulness Association, is a charitable organisation that exists to make mindfulness training available to people who ordinarily would find it difficult to access.
For more information or to apply for a place on the course, please contact Gareth on 07722 613245 or email email@example.com . Gareth is a registered counsellor and psychotherapist, as well as a registered mindfulness teacher. He has been working in the field of mental health and wellbeing for over 20 years.
