The Veterans of Comedy are storming stages across the nation executing Operation 'No Laugh Left Behind'! These proud Veterans not only recount hilarious experiences serving our country, they share tales of marriage, parenting, and general nuance making them relatable to a variety of audiences. Co-founders Will C and Erik Knowles are military veterans who are seasoned comedy veterans as well, with over 30 years combined experience as standup comedians.
HEADLINER Willc (USAF, USAR, USMC) On a dare, Will C took the stage at The World Famous Comedy Store in La Jolla, CA in January of 1995, caught the comedy bug and never looked back. Will C has traveled the country as a road comic and has performed all over the United States and Canada. With his quick wit, over the top goofiness, and his ability to relate to his audiences, Will C has become a favorite at clubs, colleges, and military bases everywhere.
HEADLINER Erik Knowles (USMC) Erik Knowles did his first stand-up set in the fourth grade at a summer camp talent show. Even at just nine years old, his two minutes of Nickelodeon jokes killed. His next performance was in 1999 while he was in the Marine Corps. One of his superiors, noticing Erik’s ability to make his peers laugh, ordered him to do a stand-up routine at the upcoming squadron Christmas Party talent contest. Erik won the contest by making fun of the Commanding Officer. After he got out of the Marine Corps in 2003, he did his first open mic at the Comedy Store in La Jolla. After that, there was no stopping him. He has performed in comedy clubs and casinos, and military bases all over California, Arizona, Nevada, and Texas. Erik’s show leaves everyone satisfied. He looks back nostalgically, at his younger days in the Marines, boot camp, partying, and even a few war stories from his time overseas in Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. He then contrasts that with a witty look at his adult life full of responsibilities, becoming a father, and his uncontrollable desire to challenge social stigmas. His comedy is refreshing and edgy, without being filthy. Erik Knowles fits nicely into any lineup and is a perfect fit for any venue in the country.
Our HOST, Robert Alan Hall (USN) is a native of Baton Rouge, LA, where he hosts the Delete Comedy Open Mic as well as a monthly showcase titled “Off The Rails”. Robert served in the US Navy for 5 years without seeing a ship, and instead found stand-up comedy. He is a former writer for the After Dark Comedy Show and was on the Laugh Out Loud Festival. His light-hearted approach to navigating life through compromising situations is guaranteed to keep you laughing.
