Walk a Mile in Their Shoes, is a community march to stop rape, sexual assault & gender violence. We believe that love is essential to the life of our community. It is in the caring of self and others that make us strive to our fullest potential. This year our goal is to make the walk more inclusive and get our entire community involved in the conversation around sexual violence at Villanova. Even though statistically, most survivors of sexual violence are women and most perpetrators are male; it is clearly not just a woman’s issue. We hope that this walk will demonstrate that as a community we are willing and able to be courageous partners with survivors in making our campus a safer place. #ItsOnUsNova to create a community that feels empowered to step up and in step in to prevent sexual violence from happening in our community and in the world.
