Admission is Free to our members on March 3rd to welcome Wally Funk as a guest speaker during our Open Cockpit Day event. In addition, we are also excited to tell you of a wonderful opportunity to attend a meet and greet dinner to honor this Nationally Decorated Woman of Aviation. Join us for an evening with Wally Funk, an American aviatrix, Goodwill Ambassador, and one of our nation’s Mercury 13 astronauts, women who qualified and trained for the astronaut program but were never given the chance to go into space. Wally, the first female air safety investigator for the National Transportation Safety Board, has over 18,000 flight hours and to this day, dreams of going into space. Her inspirational story and ongoing impact will motivate and challenge everyone.
