Only Skin presents previews of three new pieces of work, developed as part of its inaugural DRAFT project, supported by Glasgow Connected Arts Network.
// On All Fours by Jamie Bolland //
"ON ALL FOURS is the work of the >CHOKE< poet J. Bolland.
Starting from Nijinsky's maniacal exclamation: 'I am God, I was not God, I am a clown of God...' On All Fours expands through situations and space to consume individuals and scenarios in much the same way capitalism develops and begins to eat itself, exploring the fragmentation of personhood with the delusional intuition of a psychic detective."
// Portrait of an Artist as a Young Woman (a work in progress) by Annie Lowry Thomas //
Anne Kapalan asks is the gaze male? But all I know is I can't keep my eyes off you.
This is a show about feeling like an artist and not feeling like an artist, feeling like an object and not feeling like an object. This is a show about looking and being looked at.
A conversation between artist, subject, and audience."
// Dan, Just Dan by Ross Wylie //
"Dan, Just Dan: The odd story of loser loverboy, James Bond superfan, and general weirdo: Daniel Martin, whose very late first ever date goes askew and leads to a mind bending night of crime, partying, and almost sex, led on by lapsed drug dealer, Gordo."
Presented as part of The Poetry Club's Glasgow International Across the City programme.
