Hope After the Hurricanes- US Virgin Islands benefit is being held at the Red Herring Lounge on behalf of the people who live in the Unites States Virgin Islands that have been impacted by the hurricanes, Irma and Maria.
My Brother's Workshop is a non-profit charitable corporation in the USVI working with at-risk youth in job training and job placement. The mission of MBW is "To assist at-risk youth to become positive members of society through mentoring, training, education and job placement."
The non-profit answered the call to action immediately after the hurricanes hit; turning their training facilities into places of refuge and healing. In the first 9 days following the hurricanes, they served over 4,000 meals and handed out over 1,500 pieces of plywood to board up homes. They also work to spread awareness and raise money for solutions like transforming their cafe into a feeding program and turning their workshop into a plywood distribution center.
We invite you to join us for an evening of live music and a silent auction (all ages welcome). By attending this benefit, you will be supporting the communities that have suffered, and giving hope for a brighter future!
