After a year on the road, 150+ screenings, 40 festivals, and over a dozen awards and nominations, WHEN THEY AWAKE comes home to Toronto for its Official Theatrical Premiere.

WHEN THEY AWAKE is a music doc about the thriving Indigenous music scene in Canada, and the social movement enveloping it. Feat. 20+ musicians, incl. Tanya Tagaq, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Iskwé, The Jerry Cans, Logan Staats, A Tribe Called Red, Leela Gilday, Don Amero, DJ Shub.
