This nourishing workshop blends the healing practices of Gentle yoga and Yoga Nidra Meditation for deep relaxation and powerful transformation. We will begin by practicing simple breath techniques, gentle stretching and movement to prepare our bodies for deep relaxation.
Yoga Nidra, also referred to as wakeful yogic sleep, is a powerful practice accessed through a guided meditation, that induces a state of deep relaxation, quiets the mind and provides stress relief on physical, mental and emotional levels. This systematic process incorporates breath, body awareness and visualization, while taking you step by step into the deeper levels of consciousness. This tool brings profound healing on all levels, restoring the body to wholeness while invoking a sense of deep peace and stillness.
The meditation is typically done while lying down in a comfortable supported posture. As our bodies relax our temperature cools down, therefore it is recommended to have an extra layer of clothing available to maximize comfort throughout the practice. Please bring a pillow and blanket as well as water to replenish the body after the practice.
