Who would ever have thought that hula hoops would end up getting so popular? What was once a cheap way to provide children with hours of entertainment has now evolved into an art form commonly seen at music and art festivals worldwide. Combining flow arts with dancing, hooping is a beautiful and accessible form of community connection, fitness, and self-expression.
Join us at The Rhythm Hut on Wednesday 2nd of May for one of our most frequently requested workshops. This session will be geared towards beginner to intermediate hoopers, suitable for anybody who has never picked up a hoop but has interest in checking it out. Wear comfortable clothing fit for physical activity. Bring your own hoops or use one of the ones provided. Good for all ages, genders, and body types!
Meet our teacher:
Hannah Indigo is a hulahoop star! Hooping it out since 2013, she’s performed and trained with some of the best in the business all around Australia and parts of the world. Her style is a fusion of modern hoop dance, with a traditional circus twist. Based in Newcastle, Australia, she is a fulltime performance artist and hoop dance teacher.
