We would like to invite the Bendigo T1D community to join us in cheering on our Type 1 Challenge cyclists, who will be riding from Melbourne to the Barossa Valley (via Bendigo).
The epic ride begins on Monday 16 April at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne and finishes Friday 20 April in the Barossa Valley, with the group connecting with local communities along the way as they use pedal power to raise vital funds for T1D research.
Their first community events is at the end of their 180km ride on day one (April 16th) at the Schaller Studio in Bendigo.
Elite T1D athlete Alex Kozeniauskas will speak about the challenges he faces managing his T1D while riding from Melbourne to the Barossa Valley, and there will be an opportunity to meet and greet the riders, JDRF staff and local T1D families.
Light finger food will be provided.
We'd love to see you there. For more info, please contact JDRF's Melbourne office on 03 8374 6200.
