Weekly term time yoga classes for anyone between the ages of 9 and 16.
About Melanie and her classes
Melanie is an experienced primary school teacher who has been practicing yoga for many years. She first introduced yoga to children during their PE sessions. She was so delighted by the children’s (and their parents) enthusiasm that she was encouraged to run after-school yoga clubs. In turn, this led her to train to be a professional yoga teacher; (Yoga Alliance 200 Diploma.)
Melanie introduces yoga to the children in a fun and dynamic way; each themed session includes breath awareness, a variety of poses, relaxation, visualisation and positive affirmations.
The children learn how yoga can be beneficial to them; for example how it can help strengthen their muscles, maintain flexibility, improve their concentration, enable them to understand how to relax/feel calm and generally encourage them to be fit and healthy.

Classes for younger children
Classes for ages 5-8 are available every Thursday during term time only from 4-4.45pm.
Classes for older people
Anyone over the age of 16 is welcome to attend any of our regular classes.
