A fresh and passionate quartet, Thalea Quartet’s repertoire is even more diverse than their members and every bit as exuberant. Praises for this top Bay Area quartet include “a stirring performance,” “uncanny comprehension,” and “freshness of ideas.” SF Classical Voice praised their “vibrant performance” and “sincere expressivity.”
A multi-talented ensemble, besides performing as classical musicians, individual members also perform jazz, compose for interactive visual art, sing with the San Francisco Symphony Chorus, dance ballet, and occasionally act on a hit TV show.
This performance is part of our 2018 Second Sunday concert series. The evening concerts begin at 7:00 p.m. and run monthly on the second Sunday of each month, February through October.
The concerts are held in the early Arts & Crafts style candle-lit sanctuary, a National Historic Landmark and an ideal, intimate setting for performances by the smaller instrumental and vocal ensembles that are scheduled.
