Join MPR host Chris Farrell in conversation with members of the Minnesota beer brewing community to talk about the importance of water to the beer business.
Water is to beer what terroir is to wine, a critical “unseen” element that influences the taste of the final product. This event takes a fun and different approach to the conversation about water quality in Minnesota – what does it look like from the perspective of beer makers and beer lovers? How much difference does the mineral content of water really make to the final product? How do breweries handle different water sources and quality? With each gallon of beer using an average of 7 gallons of water to make, what can and should the industry be thinking about when it comes to protecting water quality and availability?
Doors will open at 6:45pm.
Panel discussion will begin at 7:00pm.
