About the Session:
An opportunity to be taken through the history of printmaking by Melvyn Petterson, master printmaker. For this session, he will bring in examples of prints including Goya and Rembrandt, talking you through the methods behind the images right up to our contemporary age.
A stimulating mix of art history and printmaking insights suitable for printmakers – or those who just like a bit of art history.
A bit about Melvyn:
Melvyn Petterson was born in Cleethorpes and studied at Grimsby School of Art and Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts.
His works have been widely exhibited in the UK and abroad, and he has many works in public and private collections, including the British Museum. He is a full member of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers, and has had several books published, the most recent being The Instant Printmaker by Collins & Brown.

Payment is non refundable unless we are able to fill your space. In the event of cancellation no less than 14 days prior to the workshop date the credit may be transferred. If The Steel Rooms cancels a workshop you will be entitled to a full refund or to transfer payment to another workshop. If a session which has been prepaid at the discounted rate is cancelled, the discounted rate will carry over to the next workshop.
