Seed to Supper, a statewide initiative of Cornell Cooperative Extension, is a comprehensive beginning vegetable gardening curriculum designed for adults gardening on a budget. The program was adopted from the Oregon Food Bank's Learning Gardens. These courses will be taught statewide at community sites to provide practical, low-cost techniques for building, planning, planting, maintaining and harvesting a successful vegetable garden. Whether you have a large yard or a porch for small containers, everyone can enjoy the satisfaction that comes from growing your own food. Cornell Cooperative Extension of Putnam County, in partnership with Studio Around the Corner, will be providing the program to residents of Brewster and the surrounding area. Hands-on classes will be taught by trained Master Gardener Volunteers and will be in English and Spanish. Child care will even be provided for your young ones. Classes take place on Monday's April 23rd and 30th, and May 7th and 14th, from 6:30pm-8:00pm at the Studio Around the Corner 67 Main St. Brewster NY. We invite you to come learn and grow with us this Spring at Seed to Supper--registration is free!
