victoria has been teaching y i n yoga for the last six years. she is most passionate about this style of yoga for it e f f o r t l e s s approach to healing. yin yoga is structured in the understanding that our body is always moving in the direction of w h o l e n e s s.
yin yoga is structured in the understanding that our body is always moving in the direction of w h o l e n e s s. the practice is based on the concept of yin + yang, opposite + complementary principles in nature. in our bodies, our connective tissues (tendons, ligaments, fascia) are yin, while our muscles + blood are yang. yin yoga consists of a series of long held + completely passive poses that work areas in our body rich in connective tissue. as we surrender into sensation we let our body’s natural inclination to bring us into harmony release fascia, balance our internal organs, + improve the flow of chi or prana. this method is de-exciting to the mind + releases stress, strain, and dis-ease from our physiology.

victoria is the co-founder of The Subtle Mind and the founder + designer of Sankalpa LLC . inspired by her career teaching yoga + practicing vedic meditation, she created sankalpa to inspire a movement of honoring our true nature + living from our heart. along her path, she wasn’t always able to listen to her truth. vedιc мedιтaтιon made it possible to go beyond her mind + access the wisdom of her heart. partnering with her meditation teacher Yashoda Devi Ma to open up a meditation + conscious living center is for victoria the merging of mind health + heart living. to live consciously is to have a mind pure as light so as to discern the truth + follow that knowing we all have inside that guides us into the most relevant + loving action in every moment. as our mind becomes more calm it is able to process life on a higher level which means we live beyond limit; we live according to our heart, and this is what it means to live radically alive. .
