Would you like to learn the art of figurative painting in a relaxing and fun environment? This class guides you through each step in figurative painting both gesturally and through longer observational studies. We will look at both clothed and nude figure references and how they can be translated onto various paper and canvas surfaces utilizing graphite and ink to begin, then transitioning to acrylic painting in an enjoyable and expressive studio environment. This class will allow the students to grasp formal language and techniques used in figurative painting while continuing to encourage self-expression through the fluidity of acrylic paint. All students will go home with finished figure studies on both heavy weight paper and canvas.

All materials provided.
All levels of experience welcome.
