On the 22 November, 1930, 25 year-old Mollie Dean was found dead in an Elwood laneway, strangled and violently mutliated. Her murder inspired countless works of art and literature including the Miles Franklin winning novel, My Brother Jack by George Johnston.
In A Scandal in Bohemia, acclaimed journalist Gideon Haigh reverses the conventional true crime story by focusing on the victim's life, and in doing so, subverting the tendency of true crime to erase women.
Gideon will be in conversation with Suzanne Donisthorpe.
