Is everybody ready for a rocking evening at The Thirsty Oyster Tavern! The Borderline boys are back on stage and ready to rock you as always! Be sure to be here on the 27th of April, Friday, for their live performance. Music starts at 8pm.
Borderline was established in March 2014 as a result of various musicians wanting to perform their favourite songs in a different way.We don’t use a full drum set, but make use of a Cajon – a percussive instrument originating from Peru.
In addition to performing our own compositions, we also take well-known tunes and infuse it with strong elements of Blues, Jazz, Folk-rock, Reggae and African rythms. We have performed on various stages (Blues Meets Rock, Little Known Blues Fest, Durbanville Beer Fest, Root 44 Market, Bluestown Sessions, Ommiberg Festival, Rabbit Hole, Eastwoods Entertainment Lounge, Bampas, opening for Dan Platansky, Saronsberg Theatre, Die Boer, Xmas in Winter fest in Tulbagh, Hillcrest Quarry, Obviouzly Armchair, Bay Harbour Market, Val De Vie Polo Club, La CaBane, V&A Waterfront, McNasty’s (Groot Brak), Botlierskop Private Game Reserve, Table Mountain Blues Summit, etc) and our retro-fresh sound has been well received by Cape Town audiences of all ages.
Expect some reggae interpretations of Dylan, some Blues perspective on Three Dog Night, some Afro flavour from American Idols, a fresh take on the music from Jungle Book, a jazzy flavour of Oasis, and of course…..a little Lime in the Coconut!
