In this beginner appliqué workshop students will learn how to do a simple appliqué and several embroidery stitches. Appliqué and hand embroidery can be used in many ways to give that special one of a kind look on the pocket or hem of a little girls dress, a purse, or even art for your wall.

In the class students will make a wool square which would be perfect for a baby's room or can be easily adapted for another project. Once you learn these techniques, you can add your personal touch to so many items.

Stitches students will learn include: blanket stitch, running stitch, back stitch, lazy daisy (on the bunny project), french knot and cross stitch.

Students can choose if they would like to do the heart or the bunny project.

No prior embroidery or applique experience required.

Class Fee: $65 + Materials
Instructor: Jean King
