Dr. Gregory Marouard (Research Associate in Egyptian Archaeology at the Oriental Institute, University of Chicago) is a French Egyptologist who is part of the team now surveying and excavating a port facility on Egypt’s Red Sea coast dating to the reign of King Khufu (~2550 BC). He will speak on the ancient Egyptian harbor at Wadi al-Jarf on the Red Sea and its link to the Khufu pyramid at Giza. This lecture is presented by the Archaeological Institute of America—Toledo Society and the Toledo Museum of Art.
