Art Opening Reception
March 30th, 2018
Join us 6-9 pm
Growing up in the East Village of New York City, surrounded by artists, studios, and outdoor shows, I gained an early appreciation of art. My formal education and career was in medicine, being a doctor in pediatrics. I would use my drawing skills to illustrate to my patient's anatomical medical procedures. In my profession, I had the opportunity to travel abroad, gathering inspirational visual experiences that I could interpret into my artwork. I had the opportunity to be influenced by other inspirational people during that time, including Winston Churchill, whose words of "In order to paint, one must have the courage to begin and patience to finish."
I have had the opportunity to exhibit through solo and group shows throughout New York and beyond. I specialize in 'old master's technique' oil painting and watercolors. I am inspired by plein air outdoor images and experiences I have encountered in my travels around the world. I hope that the viewer can share and be inspired by the relaxation and beauty that I experience when I create a piece of artwork.
