We're excited to re-convene the group so many were talking about after their performance at the first Vessel festival in 2017! It's a total crack unit for Midwest free jazz: featuring standout saxophonist Dan Wenninger from Cleveland alongside Columbus' Alex Burgoyne (alto saxophone) and Mario Bosca (bass) with Detroiter Kurt Prisbe manning the drum chair.

Also on this bill is the return of the Putnam/Haas/Murray piano trio. If you heard them on March 3rd then you saw a very inventive rhythmic machine crank out one infectious (and odd!) groove after another. Aaron Putnam is a pianist with rare skills for spontaneous composition and this group just has some really astute listening and tuning in going on. If you enjoy the piano music of Vijay Iyer, John Escreet or Andrew Hill you will probably appreciate what they're getting into-

Closing out the evening is electronic/dark ambient duo Fatal Gaze, featuring Ty Owen and David Reed. These guys have closed for a few Filament shows and they always leave plenty of minds melted. Their trip is a perfect way to seg from the fire into the cosmic ether-

BYOB, $5-10 sliding scale admission. Show starts promptly at 8.
