Join us for an Amazing night of Artistry of Three Professional Artist: Kelly Berky. Heather Collingsworth and Singer Songwriter John Keck. I can promise you this is an evening that you will not want to miss.
Kelly Berkey works and lives in the beautiful countryside of Ray Co, MO where her studio is located. When she's not painting, you will find her practicing yoga, hiking the trails along the creek, or napping with her Maine Coon, Indy. She teaches portrait and figure workshops from her studio as well as in Portugal, Outer Banks, NC, and will be teaching and traveling to Ireland, Tuscany, Florence, and Rome this August/September with plans to teach/travel in Italy and Greece in 2019.
Her artwork has been collected throughout the U.S. as well as Internationally. My corporate clientele include Pier 1 Imports, Hobby Lobby, At Home, and Kirkland's. You can also see her work at Hilliard Gallery in KC, MO.
Heather Collinsworth is a teacher, artist, art director, curator and art representative. In 2016 she co-founded Paper Birch Landing Gallery with Polly McCann and Tessa Elwood. After taking a break and working in the restaurant industry, she returned to the arts and began doing shows in the Santa Fe Arts District in Denver and with Pancakes and Booze, RAW and Chocolate and Art Pop Up Art Shows. Her style tends toward abstract and graffiti art. Heather loves to tackle social issues in her work while at the same time, making items that speak to the beauty in our world.
Heather proudly runs Paper Birch Landing, serving as Art Director. The mission of Paper Birch Landing is to showcase and highlight emerging and midlevel career artists along with providing the community a place to buy local art, take classes and enjoy the arts!
Heather is an art curator through her business More Than Art Enterprises for KC Skyline Realty, Spa on Penn, IWerx, Edward Jones at Briarcliff, KC Direct Primary Care, Calibration Brewery and Opal and Orchid Hair Studio. John is a songwriter who creates lyrics with the intent of capturing emotion, a moment in time that we can travel to and be present in. Much like a photograph defines the light of an instant. With one foot in the South and one in the Midwest, John's music is a modern blend of traditional Americana and a willingness to be undefined.
"People who haven't heard me play ask me what kind of music I make. I want to answer them, and not be rude, but it's difficult to give a 30 second elevator pitch on something you plan to work on your whole life... I don't set out to do 'one thing', so I've started saying 'I write songs for people who love Van Gogh's paintings'. I realize that's not an answer, but I want to have a conversation about what I've written. Even if it means we only get to have it with our eyes when I perform. I want to provoke thought and connect with people. I would also love to see if I can get you to dance, laugh and cry a little." - John L Keck
John is on the verge of releasing a 3 song EP this spring as a series called "Out in the Cold" and is excited to be performing as much as possible throughout the midwest. Listen to the new tracks now on www.johnlkeck.com.
