MAGFest, the world famous video game music festival, brings its touring concert series back to Raleigh, NC this May.

Game Over brings you a multi-genre showcase of some of North Carolina’s finest MAGFest veterans. EDM, chip-infused synth rock, VGM-inspired folktronica and funked-up jazz fusion collide to kick your summer off right.

But of course--what would any MAGFest event be without music AND games? Take a break from dancing your butt off with some of our freeplay console games.

Show off your best cosplay! There will be a free photobooth for all your power-posing needs, plus you might even win a prize.

Prove that North Carolina nerds know how to party and join us May 25th at the Wicked Witch in Downtown Raleigh.

Event is 18+--you must present a valid photo ID. Tickets are $12 in advance, $15 at the door.
Doors open at 8pm, show at 9pm.

Performances by:

Monarc | Chapel HIll, NC

Monarc is headed by genderqueer electronic violinist Trev Wignall. He plays most of the instruments himself, including viola, mandolin, autoharp, guitar, synthesizer, and percussion. Informed by classic video game soundtracks, Monarc's intricate and compassionate music is a hopeful and optimistic take on the modern American South.

D&D Sluggers | Wilmington, NC

"A one-man band armed with an electric guitar, a Nintendo DS, and just the right blend of awkwardness, angst, and artistry, D&D Sluggers is inevitably a world apart from any other act on the bill. And I don’t think he’d have it any other way." - Z - GEEKDAD

Eight Bit Disaster | Raleigh, NC

Eight Bit Disaster is a high energy video game tribute band from North Carolina, choosing songs from all over the spectrum, with an emphasis on obscure games whose music needs to be heard. They pride themselves on arranging game music in a fresh and original manner, while still retaining the basis that drew them to the song in the first place. Their genres range from rock to funk, jazz and blues with everything in between.

Kruai | Raleigh, NC

Kruai is a sleepy robot from Raleigh NC. He makes a variety of EDM and wants to marry glitch hop. He's got originals and remixes on spotify, but is also featured on the latest Crypt of the Necrodancer DLC. If you like funky dance music, give Kruai at least one but no more than two of your ears.
