There are many consultants who conduct indoor air quality surveys and mold testing. Some are biased because they offer remediation surveys to complement their low fee for testing and evaluation.
Many investigators are not seasoned professionals and thereby, collect only a few air samples and provide a brief report on the findings without explanation. Unfortunately, these consultants exist because of the demand for answers. This course is focused on the initial evaluation and sampling plan to determine the risk of microbial growth within a building envelope.
Our trainers talk about the different air and surface sampling and analytical methods available to the consultant. Each has its place in certain types of applications involving water intrusion, storm damage, etc. The number of samples collected is important to evaluate the building structure in order to develop a written work plan for the remediation contractor. Stipulations are needed to determine the level of cleanliness, especially in hospitals and other healthcare facilities with patients who are sick. In other instances, the occupants may be ill or compromised, thereby requiring the contrator to meet the final clearance level.
Our course also discusses the methods to remove the microbial growth from porous and non-porous surfaces and substrates. All information is provided by a seasoned Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) professional who is a ABIH board Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH). For over 28 years, we have provided solutions to all types of IAQ concerns for our customers. Let us help you with your onsite investigations.
