Anyone can learn, practice and benefit from meditation. It is a practice intended to aid the cultivation of the mind through techniques to improve one’s concentration and awareness. Meditation works by simultaneously slowing the body down and engaging the mind, often using the breath as a point of focus. Over time this practice leads to a mental and physiological calmness. This 3-part class is designed to provide you with the space, time and place, and information to guide your personalized, sustainable meditation practice. We will use a
Vipassana Meditation, a traditional Buddhist meditation practice meaning “insight and clearer thinking.” Vipassana meditation is the foundation for what we have recently become to know as mindfulness.
