Join us for an evening of uplifting and heartfelt chants, followed by a deep yoga nidra (guided relaxation).
Kirtan (call and response chanting) is a very powerful and joyous practice - the yoga of sound. Suitable for both complete beginners and more experienced chanters, this session will leave you with a feeling of openness and with a connection to yourself and others around you. It really isn't about being a good singer, so come along and join in.
There will be kirtan, traditional chants from ancient yoga scripts and North American Indian chants. A wonderful evening not to be missed!
Sanskrit is a vibrational language so just by uttering the sanskrit words, they have a profound healing effect on our physical mental and emotional state.
You are welcome to bring anything that makes a noise - shakers, drums, bells etc.
