Exploring Subtle Curves & Complex Relationships in the Body:
with Yogi & Dancer Jen Hong.
Saturday April 14th 1pm-3:30pm
Visiting yogi & dancer Jen Hong guides an exploration of breath and movement that encourages new discoveries.
In this workshop, we will discover how complex joint relationships can serve to enhance alignment, prevent injury and strengthen
our yoga foundations to provide ease and joy in everyday movement, breathe and play.
Jen Hong received her modern dance training at Reed College in Portland, OR and went on to perform in the Northwest for over a decade.
Jen's life-long dance background helped spark a profound interest in yoga, prompting her to study various disciplines including: Bikram, Ashtanga, Flow, Anusara, Iyengar and Therapeutic practices before becoming teacher certified in 2007.
In 2012, Jen began apprenticing with Jeffrey Nash, founder of the healing modality "The Awakening Process," and later took on a co-teacher role.
Jen has continued her studies as part of the Axis Syllabus International Research Network and counts its founder, Frey Faust as one of her dearest teachers and conspirators in her investigation of human movement.
Jen has been a guest teacher at UCLA World Arts and Cultures Dept. and California Institute of the Arts. She now dances, teaches, and plays in Los Angeles.
