2 hour Yin yoga workshop for $30.
The hips are a place of emotion where we carry some of our deepest stresses, anxieties, fears, and vulnerabilities. It is also the location of the second chakra called Svadhisthana, which when blocked impedes the ability to release and flow through mental and physical sensation. In this workshop, we will discuss different philosophies that connect mind & body to explain why Yin Yoga is often a gateway to the emotional self.
Yin Yoga focuses on connective tissue, ligaments, tendons and joints. It is a wonderful practice to balance out the Yang energy that we carry with us throughout our busy days. In this practice, you will be guided into supine and seated postures that awaken the hips and with the support of props stay within the postures for several minutes. This workshop offers time for introspection, connection to deep physical sensation, as well as tools to help calm the mind when emotions arise so we stay clear of anxiety, negative self-talk, and frustration.
