Join us in the Yoga Tree, Stirling for a day retreat focused on Self-Compassion. During the day we will look at our automatic threat responses, which can get in the way of us being compassionate and kind both to ourselves and others. As Ruby Wax points out: "if we don't learn to be compassionate to ourselves first, we can't feel it for anyone else". It may seem selfish to focus on ourselves, but if we are more able to weather difficult times, we are more able to help others during theirs.
The day will be an opportunity for us to sink into our practice, to really have the space to engage fully with the teachings on offer. There will be pockets of silence throughout the day, to enable us to have the space to rest.
We will bring some vegetarian food to share for lunch, snacks will be provided alongside a range of teas and coffee for break times. Yoga mats and meditation cushions will be provided. You may wish to bring a blanket, and thick socks or slippers for extra comfort.
Please note that the cost of the day is £45. There is a reduction for folk who have completed the 4 week "Introduction to Self-Compassion" course and for students / those in receipt of their pension.
