WHAT: Auditions for a comedic play - "Almost, Maine"
WHERE: Theatre Forty Two [900 Devine Street, Sarnia]
WHEN: Fri, March 16th @7pm or Mon, March 19th @7pm
Almost, Maine is a play for 4 actors (that can believably play 20-35) that play a series of characters in a fictional town of Almost, Maine.
Welcome to Almost, Maine, a town that’s so far north, it’s almost not in the United States—it’s almost in Canada. And it almost doesn’t exist. Because its residents never got around to getting organized. So it’s just…Almost.
One cold, clear Friday night in the middle of winter, while the northern lights hover in the sky above, Almost’s residents find themselves falling in and out of love in the strangest ways. Knees are bruised. Hearts are broken. Love is lost, found, and confounded. And life for the people of Almost, Maine will never be the same.
Almost, Maine: It’s love. But not quite.
WHAT TO EXPECT/PREPARE:
The auditions will be comprised of two parts: a prepared monologue and a series of cold reads.

2) Cold Reads: you will be selected (individually or in groups) on the day perform a series of cold reads of sections of the play with minimal preparation time.
