Educators only! From maker education to play-based techniques, join Thinkery for fun and engaging professional development workshops chock-full of ideas you can take directly to your students. Our Educator Workshops are structured to provide time for exploration, movement and creation through hands-on exploration and activities. We model playful learning and let you be a kid again while learning new tools and skills.
Recommended for educators working with 2nd–6th grades, all Educator Workshops include museum exploration and an overview of Thinkery educational resources.
Fostering Makers in YOUR Space!
Monday, June 25 from 9 am–3 pm
Are you curious to learn how to use simple makerspace tools with your students or how to create effective STEAM activities? Join Thinkery for a fun skill-swapping experience. This workshop is designed to give practical insight into making and tinkering in your classroom, library—or any space. This workshop will include a tour of the Mathews Elementary makerspace.
Fee: $25 per person
Location: Thinkery, 9 am–12 pm, Mathews Elementary, 1–3 pm
Meals: Light breakfast provided, lunch on your own.
