Hands-on programming workshops for those who want to learn coding. No idea about coding or even how start to "Code"? Participants may range from in-service and pre-service teachers, parents, grand-parents, or just interested adults who wish to learn how to code and those who may be involved in or facilitating with children and grand-childrens' screen time activities. Limited Space - These evening classes are kept small, maximum of 6 adults = BOOKING ESSENTIAL.

Prerequisite: This is a class for adults. Bring your own WiFi enabled device, but not essential (Raspberry Pi computers available for use). No computer programming knowledge required but basic computer skills desirable.

Objective: Learn how to code and also to facilitate coding with children using code project ideas. Learn some coding yourself by doing some fun hands-on simple coding activities:
+ Introduction to various coding platforms such as Raspberry Pi and other electronic Gizmo's
+ Learn problem-solving, Computational and logic design thinking, computer jargon
+ Dive into visual programming, create an account for and be guided in how to use Scratch block coding
+ (Optional) more advanced adults may download Python for line-coding to their laptop
+ Multiple-evening courses available and shall be customised to your needs

Certificates of Attendance for your Professional Development shall be provided to attendees as required.

Booking is essential. Cost $28 per person per single-session. $62 per person for 3 sessions.

When: Several 2-hour evening sessions available starting at 6:30 pm
Where: Thinklab Fremantle (3 blocks from the train station, upstairs next to National Hotel on the Cappuccino Strip)
