A 9-piece (often more) band from Louisville, Kentucky, the Zach Longoria Project has soul in its veins and southern harmony in its heart. Weaving together elements of jazz and old-school R&B, the band creates a distinctive sound they like to call Kentucky Fried Soul.
ZLP came together in 2013 as a collaboration of passionate, driven musicians with a commitment to making good music and being good to each other. The result is an incredibly close-knit group of kindred spirits—and it shines through in their music.
In July 2014, ZLP released their self-titled EP and were featured on a “Live Lunch” series sponsored by WFPK, Louisville’s alternative radio station. A highland of 2015 was in June; ZLP played the Bunbury Music Festival in Cincinnati, sharing the same stage as the Avett Brothers, Lindsey Stirling & the Black Keys.
ZLP had the privledge in July 2017 to play Louisville's own Waterfront Wednesday, sharing the stage with Strand of Oaks and Low Cut Connie- what a terrific show.
The band's most recent release is Up Up & Away, released in June of 2016. They're not wasting any time though- The next album is well in the works and ZLP is looking forward to sharing it with the world in the not-so-distant future.
