For more than ninety years, the Thomasville Rose Show and Festival has delighted locals and visitors alike. The decades of this spring celebration have left a lasting impression on Thomasville and its history. The Thomasville History Center celebrates that tradition and invites you to join us for a walk down memory lane as we look back at Rose Shows past and share memories of the local parades, pageants, and blooms at “Do You Remember? The Rose Show.”
A panel of local Rose Show “experts” will share their insights into the workings of the festival, share their recollections of festivals past, and engage the audience in a conversation about their own memories and experiences. The program will kick off with a slideshow of images from the collections of the Thomasville History Center, including the Ed Kelly Collection.
Open to all members of the community, the Thomasville History Center looks forward to hosting this community conversation Friday, April 27 at 10am at the History Center, located at 725 N. Dawson Street. This program is presented free of charge, but donations are encouraged. Light refreshments will be offered following the program.
