BOOK DISCUSSION OF WHITE LIKE ME BY TIM WISE
Tuesdays April 3, 10, 17, and 24, 7-8:30 pm
Told as a memoir and through essays, Tim Wise, the leading anti-racist speaker, writer and activist in the U.S. today, reflects on how white privilege has affected his life. He very articulately and expertly uses statistics as far back as the 17th century to demonstrate step by step how effectively institutional racism was set up and how it continues to thrive today. This sparks conversation on our own personal journeys and how we can opt for change.
