Meditation Workshop

Meditation is the art of using your mind and intellect in a right direction that is meaningful, positive, purposeful, and useful for thinking, understanding, expressing, and experiencing. Join guest instructor Michel Simon from France for this special Meditation Workshop in Raja Yoga. We will learn about the importance of meditation to develop self-awareness and self-control. We explore the theory behind the meditation and share in guided meditation practice together.

Introduction to meditation based on awareness of the Self and its abilities and mechanisms.
This will allow us to have the power to observe, to check, to recognize, to control, to improve the Self with its thoughts and personality.

12:00 – 12:30
Guided meditation based on the previous lecture so that we take time to acknowledge and reflect on what has been shared during the previous lecture.

Explanation and demonstration of the inner qualities of the Self such as Peace, Love, Purity, Knowledge, Power and Happiness

For 40 years, Michel has been active in the field of spirituality, studying and teaching the knowledge of Raja Yoga— the ancient yogic knowledge of India that resurfaced in the 1930s in India. Born in Paris, France in 1956, Michel trained in the 1970s in London with experienced yogis from India from the spiritual university of Brahma Kumaris. After this, he opened a branch of the same school based on Raja Yoga in Paris and sustained and developed the school with fellow French yogis.

In 2000, Michel began to travel around the world with this ancient knowledge and since has visited over 60 countries where he has shared the wisdom of Raja Yoga with all types of people— regardless of caste, religion, profession, or social condition. His audience has included college students, teachers, police officers, doctors, prisoners, and many more diverse populations. Since 2003, he is based in Serbia leading the work of Brahma Kumaris spiritual university there.
