Please come and join your Torbay Parent Carer Forum (PCF), in the Main Hall at Upton Church, Torquay on
Friday 17th November 2017, for our Autumn Co-Production Event.
The basis of all plans, whether statutory plans (e.g. Education, Health and Care (EHC) plan, Health care plan or plan related to social care) or non-statutory plans (e.g. SEN Support action plan) is ‘Needs, Outcomes & Provisions’.
At this event, you will learn about identification of needs, otherwise known as area in need of support. Words that are specific rather than vague will be explored within the clear and cloudy language session. The importance of aspirations will be discussed in relation to the desired outcomes. You will gain a better understanding of why it is essential to have SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable or Appropriate, Relevant or Realistic, & Time-bound) targets and provisions. We will also consider where your contribution as parents/carers fits and how you would like or expect your contribution to be recognised.
Places at this event are limited, so it is very much on a first come first served basis. Please follow the link to our website www.torbaypcf.org.uk in order to book your place early! Please note that professionals have also been invited but preference will be given to parents/carers wishing to attend.
The Main Hall at Upton Church is below the Church itself. It can be entered by the steps opposite Torquay Library on Lymington Road or there is mobility friendly access via the gate just up around the corner on St Marychurch Road, through the church garden. There will be refreshments available throughout the event and a free buffet for you to enjoy before the event closes at 2.30pm. Good parking surrounds the venue, and should you need your parking cost reimbursing, please remember to bring the Stub of your Car Parking ticket to us.
