The League of Women Voters, Randolph-Macon College, and The Herald Progress are hosting a Council Candidate Forum for the upcoming May 1st Town election. During this election, citizens of the Town of Ashland have the opportunity to vote to fill two seats on the Ashland Town Council. During the Candidate Forum, citizens will have an opportunity to hear from the three candidates to garner a better understanding of each candidate's thoughts on a variety of Town related issues. There are three candidates running for two seats on the Ashland Town Council: Terry "Les" Cook, John Hodges, and Daniel McGraw (listed alphabetically). Mayor James Foley has chosen not to run for reelection. His term ends on June 30, 2018.
The Council Candidate Forum is open to the public, and it will be broadcast on the Town public access channel 17, live on the Town website, and available for review as an archived video on the Town website.
