With the many roles we play in our lives, whether student, sibling, family member, or friend, it can be hard to express ourselves. Through art and storytelling, we have a path to explore our identities and learn more about who we truly are. Despite pressures and expectations of who we are supposed to be, rising up and speaking out on “The Many Hats I Wear” allows us to share our truths, understand each other, and proudly be ourselves.
Join us for a night of storytelling and visual art to build community and support youth as they share their experiences. Along with our featured performers, we will have an open mic section where youth who weren’t able to sign up during our application period will have a chance to come up on stage and tell their story, and receive a $20 gift card.
There will be free food, boba, a button-making machine, and MORE!
Free parking is available at Homeboy Industries, directly across the street. We will also provide free food and boba! Be sure to respond as “Going” or “Interested” for more updates and info.
