The first half of the workshop will be yin yoga. Yin Yoga allows us to work the deeper 'yin' tissues: the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, bones, the deep fascial networks and even the joints of the body that normally are not exercised very much in a more active 'yang' style of asana practice. We will have a bathroom and tea break and then finish the afternoon with a more dynamic ‘yang’ yoga session. The more active style of yoga tends to target the lengthening and contracting of muscles. Both the yin and the yang sessions will have a meditation at the end of each session.
