This workshop includes breathing techniques (pranayama), yoga postures, body sensing yoga and mindfulness meditation. We will explore the movement and relationship of the lower back, hips and the pelvis. We will explore the movements used for walking. We will look at some of the issues that can cause lower back pain and discomfort. We will explore any tension, tightness or restricted range of movement in these areas. We will then use breathing, yoga and meditation to help with physical, mental and emotional releases. Although we are focusing on these areas we will be moving our whole bodies. Please feel free to attend if you have not practised yoga before, as most postures are modified to suit each person.
