Back and Spine Workshop. This workshop includes breathing techniques (pranayama), yoga postures, body sensing yoga and mindfulness meditation. We will explore the relationship and movement of the whole back, from the tailbone up to the base of the skull. We will look at and discuss some of the common injuries that occur in the back and neck. We will explore any tension, tightness or restricted range of movement in these areas. We will then use breathing, yoga and meditation to help with physical, mental and emotional releases. Although we are focusing on these areas we will be moving our whole bodies. Please feel free to attend if you have not practised yoga before, as most postures are modified to suit each person.
