The PetCPR+ Advanced Certification program is designed for veterinary professionals specifically. Veterinary Technicians, Assistants, Veterinarians and support personnel will find that the material covered in our advanced CPR class is better suited for their needs. This class training goes over what to do when a cardiopulmonary arrest arrives at the hospital.
Topics covered in this class will include:
how to triage an emergency
develop an emergency plan for your hospital
how to function as an ICU team during a code
recognize and manage a CPA (cardiac pulmonary arrest) in the hospital
how to use monitoring equipment necessary in a CPA and more.
The class includes a hands on experience with basic and ventilated CPR, choking and how to perform manual cardiopulmonary resuscitation using industry standard methods. Veterinary professionals will receive 3 RACE CEU for attending this class. Our certification classes are becoming the choice for veterinary hospitals and clinics to validate their staff training for accreditation.
NOTE: This class is based on the RECOVER Initiative and our instructor completed training at Cornell University Veterinary School in canine and feline basic and advanced life support, earning a certification by the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care. Participants will receive their certification through Pet Emergency Education upon completion of this class in Canine and Feline CPR and Advanced Life Support. Although the class is recognized and approved through the American Association of Veterinary State Boards this class is in no way affiliated with the eCornell BLS/ALS training program.
