Kernow AA Branch are proud to announce the next Tree Training Day that will be held on 23rd March 2018. We are once again reaching out to the arb community within Cornwall and the wider tree community including Landscapers, Ecologists, Horticulturalists etc.
The Seminar will provide an update on the latest situation within the Industry in relation to different aspects that the Contractor/ Consultant are likely to encounter. The day aims to put attendees at the forefront of the latest developments, so that they can integrate this information into the advice that they give to the Public.
On the agenda is a talk on Felling Licences, plus James Gregory from Cornwall Council providing an update on Tree Legislation. The Forestry Commission will give us the latest on current and upcoming Pest and Disease threats to the region. Approved Contractor Accreditation Scheme Manager Paul Smith will present a technical update, while we'll also hear from Technical Officer and Ecologist Jim Mullholland give a popular talk on Bats.
We'll finish with a walk through Trewithen Gardens and look at the captive red squirrel population on the site.
You will also have the opportunity to meet and speak with AA Staff including the CEO Stewart Wardrop as well as to network with a wide selection of Tree Workers, Consultants and Ecologists.
The cost will be £20 for Members and £30 for Non-Members which will include a pasty lunch.
