This class will be a way to put the groundwork we are learning into practice horseback. Participants are asked to come to class groomed, saddled, and warmed up.
Part of the syllabus will include working on ropes, and flags around your horse to see that he's ok with all of that. We will work on using feel, timing, and balance to work with our horses to have a better partnership. Exercises include circling with quality, calling cadence, yielding hindquarters and forequarters, leg yield, half pass, haunches in, several different ways to move the hind quarters, short and long serpentines, reaching exercise, spins, backing circles correctly with quality, leads and lead changes starting at the walk and up, and getting your horse to willingly accept direction and be the partner you are wanting. After getting these items covered, we will be using obstacles and will possibly be going out of the arena to put the practice to purpose. We will put all of the dance steps together in any order to prove and/or improve balance. Please RSVP to hold your spot.
