The Psychedelic Society Bristol present a series of talks that discuss the possibility of altering our perception of reality via the means of psychedelics or other more mystic routes including shamanism, tarot, astrology, ritual, mythology, occultism and lucid dreaming. Inventive, intellectual and creative speakers will discuss many of the parallels and themes between the mystic and the psychedelic.
This series explore's how mysticism and the occult has influenced man's perception of reality and his own consciousness. It is a space to be curious about the role of intention in the realms of magic and the role of intention in tripping or psychedelic ceremony. It is the chance to discuss how the various mystical routes, throughout history, have allowed us to alter and distort our perception of reality and expand our awareness and understanding of the universe.
The first in the series is Tarot with speakers including Andy Black (Follow the faun) who will talk about the Fool's journey through the Major Arcana. Also Fernanda Paiva, an astrologist that works with the Tarot, who attended the London school of Astrology and runs Hitchhiking Stars and finally Daniel Hernandez (Divine Ridiculous) who works with an embodiment of tarot through ritual and workshops as well as a whole performance based on the major arcana called 'The Psychedelic Kidnap Experience.'
