“This class allows for longtime practitioners to progress while allowing those newer to yoga a safe and accessible challenge. This class is not pure vinyasa style, but employs a steadying mix of flows and meaningful resting poses. Balance in its deepest meaning is the work on Thursday evenings—there is something for everyone!”
Elizabeth Moses is a certified yoga instructor, teaching professionally in the Corning area for almost five years, and a grateful practitioner of yoga for over twelve years. It was several years into her own practice that teaching found her, when an instructor asked her to lead a class. She instantly felt a connection to the work and would soon begin to pursue certification. For her, yoga is a calling. Elizabeth is invested in helping students tap into their resources within themselves and within their community, to find their optimal balance in body, mind, and heart.
As a teacher Elizabeth’s style is steady, grounded, and warm. She brings an eclectic and dynamic mix of Ashtanga and Hatha to her practice, backed by studied expertise and thousands of hours of teaching experience with all levels of yoga students.
In a typical class, her style is generally flowing, focusing on physical safety, strength, mobility, and energy movement.
Students are given the opportunity to deepen their awareness of the self and their connections to the world around them and grow their internal reserves of energy, steadiness, and joy. Her deepest wish is to be a part of the positive—to shine light where it seems most dark and to weave a bit of magic into her students' yoga practice.
